Operation Fill’er Up
Have you ever heard a pet lover say, “if I win the lottery, I’m going to open a rescue for all pets.” Yup…I’ve said it – I would totally do that. Pet lovers understand the need in cities across the country to place stray and relinquished dogs & cats in homes or with foster families.
The shelters & rescues in our country do an amazing job, with limited resources, of housing and caring for pets until they find a forever home.
We, as a culture, may not have the time, money or fortitude to do the job these organizations are doing every day, but we can help them in our own way.
They need ordinary household supplies – stuff we have around the house like newspaper, old towels, bleach. They need kitty litter, collars, bedding. They are not asking for top of the line stuff either. Just whatever we can donate. Every little bit helps.
I have a hard time visiting shelters because I want to take all the dogs & cats home with me. I know I can’t, but seeing them in kennels triggers my pet compassion fatigue so much that it makes my heart hurt.
This is a way I can make a difference, with YOUR help. My pet project is collecting supplies for their day-to-day operations. It’s called…
“Operation Fill ‘er Up”
In my travels and with my daily business networking, I collect supplies and deliver to the area shelters & rescues.
Working from their current wish lists, I’ve compiled a master list of the most needed supplies.
I arrange pick up from your home or business then deliver to one of the shelters and/or rescues who need them most.
My list of shelters & rescues grows weekly as the need for these basic items increase.
They can’t do it alone, but we can help them – together! Please contact me if you have a donation.
